This tree is in the Patriarch Grove of the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest located in the White Mountains of California. The elevation here is 11,300 feet and the views are spectacular. Every time I visit I feel it is an honor to spend time among some of the oldest living things in the world. There are many trees here that have been alive for thousands of years, and a few that have been around for over 5000 years.
I am an artist and musician living in New Orleans, LA. where I play a loud guitar, produce music, take photos, and draw pictures. I received my B.A. in Art from California State University, Long Beach and my B.A. in Music Composition from the University of New Orleans (ah those days were so long ago!) If you like my drawings you might be interested in looking at my book of them titled "Fata Morgana", available at blurb.com/b/8673983-fata-morgana. My latest musical project is called The Red Book which is heavy-psych-prog rock and can be heard at theredbook.bandcamp.com or on your favorite streaming platform such as Spotify or Apple music (it rocks!)
